Release of Interviews3D 2025 – Service Pack 1

We are pleased to announce the release of Interviews3D 2025 – Service Pack 1.

This service pack delivers a range of improvements and enhancements to make working with Interviews3D even more efficient, stable, and intuitive. The focus is on a better user experience, optimized tools, and enhanced functions for the target/actual comparison of point clouds.

Improved user experience thanks to customizable interface

  • A new (optional) icon pack with modern, scalable material UI symbols for clearer and larger display if needed.
  • Revised toolbars and menus provide a more logical structure and faster access to key functions.
  • Optimized for touch operation.
  • Better overview in the project browser: sub-panels can be flexibly displayed or hidden.
  • Status information is now more clearly displayed, making important notifications immediately visible
  • Improved interoperability of the clipping function with the drawing tool, measurement functions, and other tools. These functions can be used flexibly also in combination with each other.

Enhanced target/actual comparison of point clouds – better overview, precise analysis, easy data exchange

  • Optimized depiction to facilitate analysis in target/actual comparisons, with full information maintained in screenshots
  • Both the target/actual comparison and segmentation can be applied specifically to individual regions of the point cloud, enabling precise analysis in selected areas.
  • Easy data exchange via local E57 export: Selected areas of the point cloud can be exported as E57 files – ideal for documentation or further processing.
  • The target/actual comparison and segmentation automatically generate matching box markings with customizable labels.
  • Comparison, segmentation, and export functions are now conveniently accessible via the context menu of the box annotations – for significantly smoother workflows.

Updated drawing tool – more intuitive, better structured

  • A modern, user-friendly layout with clear unit display and visual preview makes it easier to draw shapes precisely.
  • Drawings remain visible even when other tools are used in the meantime – even without explicitly saving.
  • The drawing area is defined intuitively and provides optimal support for both freehand and shape tools.
  • The pause mode has been enhanced with a practical pointer tool, and the view can be focused specifically on the active drawing to maintain a clear overview at all times.

Optimized clipping tool—more flexibility thanks to smart operation

  • Quickly access clipping planes directly from the taskbar.
  • Clipping planes are now automatically retained (even without explicitly saving), e.g., when other tools are used in the meantime, so you can pick up where you left off.
  • Work more efficiently: Change tools more quickly without losing the current view.

Other highlights

  • Additional CAD formats supported by the MultiCAD Importer: Navisworks 2026, Creo 12.4.0.0, CATIA V5 2025, Inventor 2026, 3DXML 2025.
  • Support for the SpaceMouse "SpacePilot Pro" for precise 3D navigation.
  • Measurements are now included in screenshot exports.
