- SGI VisDays: 3DInteractive presents at the unveiling of the new Prism deskside
workstation.
- March/April 2005:
- A first prototype of Interviews3D, a real time viewer for extremely large data models,
is presented at CeBit and the Hannover Trade Fair. A fully detailed CAD model of a Boeing 777
with 350 million polygons and even larger models with well over one billion polygons can for
the first time be explored interactively on a PC or even a laptop with standard 3D graphics
hardware.

- IBM Roadshow: 3DInteractive's new technology is presented to representatives of the
German auto industry in Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Köln and Düsseldorf)
- Fall 2004:
- Initial tests with key development partners EADS, and DaimlerChrysler begin
in late 2004
- April 2004:
- 3DInteractive GmbH is founded as a spin-off of the computer graphics group of the
TU-Ilmenau (headed by Prof. B. Bruderlin) to develop and market a new rendering
technology for real time visualization of massive 3D data models.
